The success of a tree-planting initiative is seen not only on the day the trees are planted, but in the years that follow.

This year, Nedamco Africa took part in Ethiopia’s national efforts to build a greener, more climate-resilient future, planting trees at Aw-Hakim mountain hill, home to Harar’s prominent new HARAR landmark.

Alongside planting new trees, our team continued efforts to care for and preserve trees planted in previous years. This reflects an important part of environmental responsibility: planting is only the beginning. Lasting impact depends on ensuring that trees have the opportunity to survive, grow, and become part of a healthy ecosystem.

As Ethiopia continues its Green Legacy Initiative, we are reminded that building a greener future requires both new action and continued care for what has already been established.

A lasting green legacy is not only about how many trees we plant today, but how well we help them grow for the future.
